Ideas for maximizing learning before and/or after the trip:
-What birds of prey live in this area and how do we tell them apart?
-What is the CCC & why did they do what they did? (the CCC made the shelter we will be using for dinner)
-Why was the reservoir made?
-What makes Indiana prime for flooding?
-How was the dam made?
-What is an engineer?
-What other reservoirs has your family visited?
-How do dams affect rivers and the creatures that live in/near them?
-What are plants and animals doing right now to prepare for (or make it to) spring?
-Practice winter tree ID
-Practice starting/tending a fire
